Adult Sunday School

Once upon a Time – A Fresh Look at the Parables of Jesus: A new adult Sunday school class will begin April 7. We will meet in the Mayflower Room at 9:30 a.m. with the class being led by Harvey Booth. Good stories often become mirrors in which we see ourselves. Self-recognition produces self-understanding. Many of the stories of Jesus (the Parables) have precisely that effect. To read them is to see ourselves. But they are more than mirrors. They also become windows into the very heart and mind of God! The parables not only reveal who we are—they help us know who God is.

Writers' Group

You are a writer. Whether it is a grocery list or an e-mail to a friend, you write every day. Why not do it for fun with an informal group of folks who enjoy playing with words?

“The Writers’ Group” is a rather high- falutin’ title for just such a gathering. We meet at 11:50 a.m. on Sundays in the Library. Our leader, Paula Adams, gives us a brief “prompt” to stimulate creativity and then we write for a few minutes on either that prompt or something entirely different if the spirit moves us.
